Ernest T. Shaw, 94, died February 22, 2010 at the Pleasant Valley Nursing Home in Derry, NH after a period of failing health.
He was born October 3, 1915 in Mars Hill, ME., son of the late Perley J. Shaw and Gert E. (Tapley) Shaw.
Ernest grew up in Mars Hill and graduated from the local schools. He met and later married Anna Mae (Sennett) Shaw. They settled in Exeter, NH for 27 years and moved to N. Hampton, NH from 1963-1970. Mr. Shaw worked for many years in construction as a carpenter for New England Homes, retiring in 1975. They moved to Raymond, NH to be closer to their daughter and some of the grandchildren.
Mr. Shaw was pre deceased by his wife of 72 years, Anna Mae Shaw, who died February 6, 2010, two sons, Lawrence Edward Shaw and Robert Ernest Shaw, and one daughter, Sonja Marie Chouinard.
He is survived by 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren, 1 brother, Joseph Shaw of Mars Hill, ME, 2 sisters, Eva Kinney of Mars Hill, ME ., Kathleen Crouse of Blaine, ME. and several nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours.
A Private graveside service will be held in the spring at the Central Cemetery, North Hampton, NH.
