William "Bill" Hill, 62, of Railroad Ave., died Saturday, March 13, 2010 in Haverhill, MA. after a period of failing health.
He was born September 8, 1947 in Brockton, MA., son of the late Walter E Hill and Emma May (Hallam) Hill.
Bill worked for 38 years between Sanders Associates and Benchmark Electronics Inc. of Hudson, NH and retired as a Senior Electronics Test Technician.
He summered for many years on Governor's Lake in Raymond, NH and moved to Epping, NH in 1973.
Bill was very skilled when working on computers and electronics. He was an avid gun collector and target shooter with archery and muzzle loading. He also enjoyed leather tooling and woodworking. He was a lifetime member of the N.R.A.
Bill was pre deceased by a brother, Walter Hill Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Carol (Martin) Hill of Epping, NH, 1 brother, Donald Hill of N.C., 1 sister-in-law, 3 brother-in-laws, 1 aunt, Evelyn Sullivan of Gorham, ME., several nieces, nephews, and family friends, Kevin & Peggy Morgan and family.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2010 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, Epping, NH.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 19, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Rev Kevin McBride will officiate.
Spring burial will be in the Avon Cemetery, Avon, MA.
Flowers are acceptable or donations may be made to the Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St. Bldg. 9, Lawrence, MA. 01843.
