Brentwood, NH

Diane M. de Sousa, 64, passed away to a better life on July 5, 2010 at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital. She was born on October 12, 1945 in Exeter, NH, the daughter of the late Fred M. and Evelyn (Bean) Gallant.

She is survived by her husband Jordan (Joe) de Sousa, of Brentwood, NH; two daughters, Kelly Riggle and Carrie Coulter, both from Indiana; two sons, Peter de Sousa and Richard de Sousa, both from Texas; 16 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son Daniel Paul de Sousa who died in 2002.

She always had a great passion for God’s creation (nature), but most of all she enjoyed encouraging people. She was very artistic and enjoyed painting and quilting. She had a life of severe pain but now is free and present with her Lord.

A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2010, from 11 AM – 12 PM at the Exeter United Methodist Church, located on 307 Epping Rd. in Exeter, NH. A Memorial Service will follow at 12 PM at the church. Rev. Michael A. Pike will officiate the service. Brewitt Funeral Home, 9 Pleasant St., Epping, NH is handling the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Exeter United Methodist Church, 307 Epping Rd., Exeter, NH.
