Arnold E. Kenneson Jr., 72, died on July 8, 2010 at his home in Newfields after a lengthy illness. He was born on July 19, 1937 in Providence, RI, the son of the late Arnold E. Kenneson Sr., and Gemma (Franguella) Kenneson.
In 1943, his family moved to Glen, NH where he resided until 1961 when he moved to Exeter, NH. Arnold served for four years in the US Army and has been a resident of Newfields, NH since 1972.
From 1967-1992, Arnold was employed as a commercial airline pilot for Delta. An avid outdoorsman, he was a skilled hunter and fisherman. He was an active volunteer for the NH National Guard and NH Fish & Game. He served as a hunter safety course instructor and was also involved in the “Take a Kid Fishing Program”. In 1995 he survived the crash of his home built airplane that went down in the town of Kensington, NH.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda (Shetterly) Kenneson of Newfields, NH; two sons, Scott and his wife Dorothy Kenneson of Epping, NH, and Marshall Kenneson of Kodiac, Alaska; his daughter, Lisa and husband Alan Campbell of Vancouver, Washington; and 4 grandchildren, Dylan Kenneson, Miles Kenneson, Nathan Campbell, and Bristol Kenneson.
A Memorial Service will be held on July 27, 2010 at 11 AM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, NH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to either the Dana – Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445-7226, Attn: Contribution Services, or to a charity of one’s choice.
