Evelyn E. Novak, 75, died December 6, 2012 at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital, Portsmouth, NH after a period of failing health. She was born February 17, 1937 in Amesbury, MA., daughter of the late Harold E. and Lena (Myotte) Dore.
Evelyn grew up and was a longtime resident in Amesbury, MA. In 1957, she married Stanley P. Novak. Evelyn was a longtime employee of Gould Modicon in Newburyport, MA, from which she retired. After retirement in 2003, she and Stanley moved to Las Vegas, NV. Following Stanley's death, she moved to Epping, NH to live with her daughter and son-in-law.
Mrs. Novak was an avid bingo player and she also enjoyed playing slot machines. Evelyn loved and cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Roger Soucy of Epping, NH, 3 grandchildren, Jill Byron, Joyce Kimani, and Julie O'Meara, 4 great grandchildren, Dylan Byron, Caleb Dowling, Kyra Kimani, and Aylah O'Meara, a niece, Evelyn Bogash, and a nephew and his wife, David and Mary Brown.
There are no calling hours.
A double urn committal will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH. Military honors will be provided for her husband, Stanley.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA. 02241-7005.
