Austin Felton Stocker Sr., 68, died unexpectedly on February 4, 2017 at the Exeter Hospital, Exeter, NH. He was born November 19, 1948 in
Lynn, MA., son of the late John Edwin Stocker and Roberta (Wall) Stocker.
Austin grew up in Lynn, MA. He served in the United States Army from May 19, 1969 to December 21, 1971 and served in the Vietnam War.
Austin worked for General Electric for 25 years as a Class A machinist and was later employed for Xaloy Inc. in Seabrook, NH. He had resided in Seabrook, NH since 1988.
Mr. Stocker was a member of the Seabrook American Legion.
Austin always enjoyed working on things whether it be remodeling his home, working on vehicles, or woodworking in his shop. He was an avid horseshoe player. Austin was a great father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Stocker, 3 sons and one daughter-in-law, Austin F. Stocker Jr. and Tanya Stocker of Danville, NH, Joseph Stocker of N. Strafford, NH, and Michael Stocker of Manchester, NH, 5
grandchildren, Michael John Stocker, Dominic Stocker, Lily Ann Stocker, JJ Stocker and Zoey Stocker, 4 sisters, Karin Vetne of New Portland, ME., Roberta Mercier of Danvers, MA., Marion Raynor of Rockport, MA., and Christine Surrette of Fairpoint, NY, and numerous nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 starting at 2:00 PM at the Seabrook American Legion.
Flowers are acceptable.
Graveside services will be held at the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody, MA. at a later date.
