Andrew (Andy) David Wiggin, Sr.

April 12, 1960 -- March 23, 2017

Stratham, New Hampshire

Andrew Wiggin, gregarious and outgoing, he would talk
to everyone he met. A ladies' man, storyteller, traveler and addict, he died on Thursday, March 23, 2017, when he lost his battle with Alcoholism.

The women in his life were numerous. He loved his mom,
Bertha Christofferson Wiggin(deceased). He worshipped his older sister, Martha Wiggin O'Malley (deceased), a character in her own right. He is survived by two sisters, Deborah Wiggin and Roberta Wiggin and family, who took him in when he had no place to go and have suffered through the last dreadful years of his downward spiral. He is also survived by his brother, Robert T. Wiggin Jr. and family, who expected more from him and loved him enough to let him know. Other survivors included many nieces, nephews and cousins. His father, Robert T. Wiggin Sr and sister, Katherine W. Rollins preceded him in death. He married twice and is survived by four sons, Andrew D. Wiggin, Jr, David C. Wiggin, Jakob J. Wiggin and Zachariah A. Wiggin. He loved his boys, even though his addiction kept him from truly being there for them.

He had a life full of adventures. Living at times in Florida and Georgia, visiting Australia, Spain and the Bahamas when he wasn't in his home of Stratham, New Hampshire. He loved the Florida Keys and spent as much time there as possible; boating, shrimping and encouraging anyone he met to go there. During 10 years
of sobriety, he experienced success and had his own business, A Wiggin and Sons Landscaping. If you were riding around the seacoast of New Hampshire with him, he would never fail to point out rock walls, driveways and walkways that he installed. Regrettably,
his sobriety did not last.

Addiction, regardless of how it starts, always winds up in one of two ways. Either the addict admits that he is the cause of his problems and seriously applies himself to fixing the root causes of those problems, or he dies. Sadly, addiction took Andrew from his life and all of it's possibilities.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 10 AM at the Stratham Community Church, 6 Emery Ln., Stratham, NH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the NHSPCA, Stratham, NH.
