Michael "Mike" R. Priore, 92, died July 24, 2010 at the Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood, NH after a period of failing health.
He was born March 6, 1918 in Boston, MA., son of the late Ernest and Maria (Martino) Priore.
Mike grew up down in the Medford, MA. area. He enlisted into the United States Navy and served in WWII. He moved to Kingston, NH and served many years for the Town of Kingston as the Welfare Officer.
Mr. Priore was a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars Post# 1088 in Kingston, former member of the Kingston Lions, and past member of the Kingston Veterans Club.
Mike was a longtime Communicant of Mary of the Mother Church in Newton, NH.
He was pre deceased by his wife, Rita Priore.
He is survived by his two daughters, Michele Eaton and her husband, Calvin of Kingston, NH, and Marilyn Mahur and her husband, Robert of Raymond, NH, 4 grandchildren, Michael, Calvin Jr., James and Michele.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St. Exeter, NH.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Mary Mother of the Church, Newton, NH.
Burial with military honors will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Kingston, NH.
