Judith Ann Oljey
April 20, 1944 – May 8, 2017

Judy Oljey was a resourceful and resilient lady! She knew how to "adjust her sails" through whatever storms life blew her way. She defied the odds, not once but twice, before losing her hard and courageous battle with cancer.

Judy grew up in Belmont, Massachusetts, the daughter of Jack (Hagop) and Dorothy (Dagdigian) Boujicanian, founding members of the First Armenian Church. She was the wife of John Oljey and mother to Kristin Oljey. She was a sister, cousin, niece, aunt, Godmother, and close friend to so many. Judy was a beloved, well-known resident of Kingston, NH for over 40 years. She was a community leader and servant, volunteering her time and energy in a variety of ways over the years; her work ethic and dedication to her community was renowned. Judy was a businesswoman, singer, actress, director, and fabulous cook. She was by far one of the most fun, witty, optimistic, occasionally stubborn, always loving, profoundly selfless people anyone could ever have the luxury of meeting. She had an amazing impact on the lives of countless individuals, even those whom she only knew for a brief moment, treating them with love, understanding, and compassion.

A celebration of Judy's life will be held at The Church On The Plains in Kingston, NH, on Saturday, June 10th at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, Judy and her family request that donations be made to the Kingston Historical and Improvement Society, PO Box 663, Kingston, NH, to aid in the restoration and preservation of this church, one of Kingston's most beloved historic treasures.
