John Adams Sinclair, 65, died April 22, 2009 at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover, NH after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born October 2, 1943 in Boston, MA., son of the late Alexander S. and Helen (Anufrom) Sinclair.
John grew up in Newton, MA. and was a graduate of Newton South High School. He then enlisted into the United States Air Force and served overseas in France during the Vietnam Era. When he returned home, he enrolled into the University of Massachusetts-Amherst where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. In their senior year during 1969, John and Sandra Wickson got married. They settled in Southboro, MA for 5 years, and moved to Grafton, MA to begin raising their young family. In 1984 they moved into Brentwood, NH, where John enjoyed many days building his gardens and tinkering with his HO Model Train Set.
Mr. Sinclair retired from Harvey Industries and worked formerly for the Thompson Center Arms Co. in Rochester, NH.
John's family and grandchildren were the most important things in his life, and he cherished all the time he spent with them.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Sinclair of Brentwood, NH, 1 son and his spouse, Scott Sinclair and Michael Pierce of San Francisco, CA., 1 daughter and her spouse, Meredith and Bill Yingling of Deerfield, NH, 3 grandchildren, Will, Kira, and Alyse, a brother and his spouse, Alexander "Buddy" and Pat Sinclair of Randolph, MA., a sister, Janice Frechette of Natick, MA., a sister, Roberta Lombardi of Amherst, MA., a sister, Chris Clifford of Northbridge, MA., a brother and his spouse, Bill and Marybeth Sinclair of Indianapolis, Indiana, a sister and her spouse, Laurie and Mark Phillips of DE, and many other loved family members, including, Bruno Vasil and John Clifford.
John was pre deceased by one brother, Don Sinclair.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2009 from 3:00-6:00 PM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St. Exeter, NH.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 27, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Pilgrim United Church of Christ, 197 Middle Rd., Brentwood, NH. Rev Kim McKerley will officiate.
Burial with military honor will follow in the Brentwood Cemetery, Brentwood, NH
