Wendy:, I know we gave him a run for his money. He was a great principal, and I know having his own kids in the room, helped him to understand better, the challenges we put forth. Thoughts of you. Remember him well as I'm sure you will. Would love to catch up and say hello one of these days. Enjoy the memories, Rudy

Burt touched many lives during his long career in teaching and coaching. I knew him in both capacities at Tantasqua Regional High School in Sturbridge in the late fifties, early sixties. My condolences to his family and friends. May he rest in peace.

My deepest sympathies to MacArthur's family on your recent loss. I know it's not easy to deal with at this moment. May you find comfort in God's word the Bible. At Isaiah 25:8 He will swallow up death forever." It was not our God's purpose for us to get sick or die. He has made loving provisions to remove suffering and death from us forever.
May the hope and promises in this Scripture bring you comfort and strength to endure the difficult days ahead

Mr MacArthur was my high school principal in the 60's, and a client of my company during the last two decades. He was a gentleman, always friendly and encouraging, and a devoted husband to his loving wife, with whom he now rests. Bless them both, lovely people!

My heartfelt condolences go out to the entire MacArthur family on the passing of this fine gentleman and educator.

My most vivid memory of Mr. MacArthur occurred during my freshman year at EHS when he whipped the entire student body into a frenzy at the pep rally before our 1969 Homecoming football game against archrival Winnacunnet. He proclaimed "Dirty water runs downhill, and the Exeter River flows right into Hampton!" Dramatic license perhaps, but it worked like a charm.

Rest in peace, Mr. MacArthur.

I haven't seen "Burt" in 62 years since I was a camper(4 years) at Camp Merri-Powow in Amesbury and he was the Director, but I remember him vividly, in fact he gave me a love for summer camps which I made my career with the Boy Scouts! Thank you Burt & Marie!!!
