I was deeply saddened to hear about Jack. Although I didn’t have the privilege to be acquainted with him personally, I feel like I’d come to know him through conversations over the years with my cousin, Bruno Vasil. Hearing of Jack’s extraordinary spirit was a real inspiration to me and taught me to appreciate life’s true blessings more. I pray that Peace may soon ease your sorrow.

So sorry for your loss! I worked with John at Harvey for a few years before I moved. He was a great guy, always happy and always willing to help. He constantly talked about his wife, grand children and his puppy. He truely loved his life. He will be missed!

I remember John as a man with a great sense of humor. There was hardly a time when I saw him that there wasn't a smile on his face. I am forever grateful to him and Sandy for having Meredith and watching our friendship grow over the last 22 years. Our prayers are with you all. John will be missed very deeply. With Love, Annette

65 year of friendship were not enough for me Jack...when I saw these words by John Updike I thought of you ...

Perfection Wasted

And another regrettable thing about death
is the ceasing of your own brand of magic,
which took a whole life to develop and market --
the quips, the witticisms, the slant
adjusted to a few, those loved ones nearest
the lip of the stage, their soft faces blanched
in the footlight glow, their laughter close to tears,
their tears confused with their diamond earrings,
their warm pooled breath in and out with your heartbeat,
their response and your performance twinned.
The jokes over the phone. The memories
packed in the rapid-access file. The whole act.
Who will do it again? That's it: no one;
imitators and descendants aren't the same.
